Electrical Shift Engineer

MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE:  

 

To operate as a static Electrical Shift Engineer operating on a 4 on 4 off shift, working hours 6am – 6pm and 11am – 11pm alternating. Utilising your core skills as an Electrical service engineer, reactive fault diagnostics and installations associated to this company’s core activities.

                                                                                                                             

 

NATURE OF WORK:

 

To carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance on behalf of our customers in line with the relevant site specification.

To support the site / customer by attending to reactive breakdowns of their Electrical services, Power failure, plant failure and rectifying where possible.

To submit detailed written reports following any planned or reactive attendance to customer’s premises to enable any additional works to be quoted for.

To work on call out rota to cover reactive calls within the Core business.

 

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

 

You will be accountable for the following: -

 

Completing a weekly time sheet correctly and submitting it to the office weekly. . 

Completing all necessary paperwork for the customer whilst on site and obtaining a customer’s signature to enable the job attended to be invoiced without any delays.

Completing engineer’s worksheet in full, giving full details of plant that requires additional work.

Completing the Minor Works and Installation Certificates on completion of any electrical installations or alterations.

Phoning in to the office helpdesk at the end of every job to update.

Phoning in to the office helpdesk at the end of the day after your last job as part of the lone working procedure.

 

 

 

MAIN WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:

 

To interact with colleagues, other engineers of the same skill set and alternative skills along with the office admin and management staff.
