From 20 August to 2 September, Westquay’s Esplanade becomes Funquay Town, a summer pop-up packed with energy, culture, and community. Set in a traditional dodgems car arena, this reimagined space will host two weeks of jam-packed activity for all ages.

Roller Skating, Daily 🛼

Grab a slot and roll into the sunset. Funquay Town roller sessions brings all the vibes to the South Coast. Expect soundtracks, soft lighting, and the perfect golden hour glide.

Sweaty Betty Presents: Feel-Good Mornings 🧘🏼‍♀️

Tai chi, yoga, restorative flows and sound baths, led by local legends including Georgie Edwards, Stephanie Blaise, and the Chinese Association of Southampton. Designed for early risers and wellness seekers alike.

Live Music, Local Talent 🎤

Westquay’s got a new stage. Catch the So Young Showcase (ft. Myriad), Cuban rhythms from Sambroso All Stars, and a genre-jumping takeover from The Drop and Jazz T. Each night is its own gig.

Two Unmissable Nights of Comedy 🤣

Get ready for back-to-back belly laughs as a stellar lineup of comics take to the Funquay Town stage this August. 

On 22 August, catch double Edinburgh Comedy Award nominee Andrew Maxwell, the brilliantly bold Felicity Ward, viral star Will Robbins, and the quick-witted Olivia Lee. Then on 29 August, the laughs continue with multi-talented performer Charlie Baker, Edinburgh Comedy Award nominee Louise Young, the fearless and funny Desiree Burch, and standout comedian Tom Ward. From TV favourites to rising talent, it’s set to be two nights packed with sharp, side-splitting comedy.
